Mumbai, Oct 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, stated on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions a fully developed India by the centenary of Independence in 2047. He asserted, Maharashtra will play a pivotal role in this vision, and the state's 'Vision Document' will significantly contribute to its realization.
During the Viksit Maharashtra 2047 Advisory Committee meeting, CM Fadnavis noted that the committee has approved the draft of the Viksit Maharashtra 2047 document.
This draft is set to be presented to the Cabinet for approval and outlines a comprehensive 'roadmap' aimed at achieving the objective of a developed Maharashtra in three distinct phases: by 2029, 2035, and 2047.
According to CM Fadnavis, the draft is a historical document that should guide future plans and policies.
“This document will empower Maharashtra to compete not just with other states but on a global scale. We need to transform this draft into a video format for easier public understanding,” he emphasized.
He also called for the establishment of a mechanism using artificial intelligence to streamline proposal approvals. Any deficiencies in proposals should be addressed proactively through AI, thus saving considerable time. The relevant departments must ensure the accuracy of AI-generated work promptly. He urged the Urban Development and Revenue departments to expedite this process. Furthermore, he advocated for a Large Language Model (LLM) to enhance AI capabilities.
The Chief Minister instructed the Industries Department to implement a Cloud Computing system for disseminating information about various schemes to beneficiaries through collaborations. This system will be accessible to all agencies. He emphasized the need for a sustainable development model that anticipates future challenges.
CM Fadnavis expressed appreciation for the public feedback received while formulating this draft, highlighting the citizens’ commitment to the state's progress.
Additionally, a government release disclosed that a survey conducted from June 19 to July 28, 2025, for the Developed Maharashtra 2047 draft garnered responses from over 400,000 citizens statewide, including 35,000 audio messages filled with valuable development suggestions. Over 700,000 citizens also participated in targeted departmental surveys.
