New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) As West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is currently in London, she seems to have openly contradicted the forecast that India would emerge as the world's largest economy by 2060. Senior BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain remarked on Friday that the Chief Minister ought to speak with greater caution while abroad.
In a statement to IANS, Shahnawaz Hussain stated, "When Mamata Banerjee travels outside the country, she should realize that she does articulate positive sentiments about India domestically. At the very least, she should communicate more cautiously when abroad. She claims we will rise to the third-largest economy, yet she appears to disagree with this. Why is that? She needs to clarify this. Upon returning to Bengal, she encounters opposition on the streets, in villages, and among neighbors. No one in the country is questioning her. Even during her visit to Oxford, she faced opposition, with slogans being chanted like 'Go back, go back, Mamata Banerjee'. What is happening? She needs to reflect on this."
The BJP also responded to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), which called on Muslims nationwide to wear black armbands on Alvida Juma.
Alvida Jumma is a significant prayer conducted on the last day of Ramadan and before Eid-ul-Fitr.
"The AIMPLB does not have the authority to dictate how one should perform namaz. Namaz is a personal matter between an individual and God. The AIMPLB cannot make decisions regarding this. This is completely misguided advice. If they choose to offer namaz wearing black bands, they are free to do so. However, the average Muslim attends namaz without intending to protest. Today, during Jumme ki namaz, I personally did not notice anyone wearing a black band. The agenda of the AIMPLB is failing utterly. If they have concerns about Jumme ki namaz, they should voice them. The misinformation regarding properties, mosques, graveyards, and dargahs being seized is entirely false. Not a single such incident will occur. Many individuals are trying to mislead regarding the timing, which is regrettable," he added.
The BJP leader also commented on the Karnataka government’s decision to raise the price of milk by Rs 4 per litre starting April 1.
"You see, wherever the Congress is in power, inflation escalates. Bus fares in Karnataka have increased, traveling by Metro has become pricier, and now even milk prices are rising. Where is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra? She used to voice concerns about inflation previously. It's their government in Karnataka, so if inflation is surging, why is Priyanka Ji silent? Their allies, including Mamata Banerjee and M.K. Stalin, why are they all quiet? They should address the inflation in Karnataka," Shahnawaz Hussain remarked.
The BJP leader also responded to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s upcoming two-day visit to Bihar on March 29 and 30, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to visit Madhubani on April 24.
"Amit Shah is set to visit Bihar. He will be in Gopalganj tomorrow and the following day, where he will address a crowd of thousands. He has several significant programs planned. A wave of enthusiasm has swept through Bihar. The people of Bihar appreciate Amit Shah Ji greatly, and they come specifically to hear his address. Amit Shah's visit will further strengthen the NDA," he concluded.
