New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) The BJP announced on Friday that Bengali Hindus confronted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her lecture at Kellogg College in London.

In a post on X, BJP leader Amit Malviya stated that Bengali Hindus called out CM Mamata Banerjee at Kellogg College, chanting angry slogans such as "holding her accountable for the rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Kar, crimes against women in Sandeshkhali, the genocide of Hindus, and rampant corruption."

He noted that these were "just a few of the posters displayed to Mamata Banerjee".

"She is a disgrace to West Bengal. The Hindu Bengali diaspora demands her removal as the Chief Minister for tarnishing Bengal’s legacy and subjecting them to such indignity," Malviya's post stated.

During her address at Kellogg College, Oxford University in London on Thursday, CM Mamata Banerjee was unexpectedly interrupted by a group of protesters who attempted to disrupt her speech by raising various issues.

They showcased posters and posed numerous questions. Amid the chaos, an audience member inquired about the plight of Hindus in Bengal, asking, "Mamata ji, what about Hindus?"

In response, she stated: "I am for everyone, Hindus and Muslims."

She also faced chants of "Go back" from a section of the audience.

BJP Leader Malviya remarked in his post, "The typically confrontational Mamata Banerjee, shielded by the West Bengal Police, appeared as a mere shadow of her usual self at Kellogg College when enraged Hindu Bengalis confronted her with slogans condemning her for the genocide of Hindus and the numerous instances of rape and murder of women, including the cases at RG Kar and Sandeshkhali."

He added that if the 2026 elections in West Bengal were conducted fairly, she would be voted out.

"The abuse of state machinery, especially the police, who act as TMC operatives, must be curtailed, and she will capitulate like any weak dictator," he stated.

Previously, the Students Federation of India-UK announced on X that its members held a protest at Kellogg College against CM Mamata Banerjee’s speech.

"We challenged her blatant falsehoods by asking for proof of the social development she claims to lead. Instead of allowing us to peacefully express our views, the police were summoned," SFI-UK said, adding that they have "questioned" the college administration regarding its reasons for providing a platform to a rape apologist, who has consistently prioritized profits over people.
