Mandatory Aadhaar Verification for Group A and B Exams in Haryana: Cabinet Decision

Chandigarh, Dec 28 (NationPress) The Haryana Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, has officially sanctioned the implementation of Aadhaar authentication services for individuals participating in the examinations for Group A and B positions administered by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).
This authentication will be compulsory during the registration phase for these roles on the HPSC portal, as per an official announcement.
The introduction of Aadhaar authentication is designed to simplify the application process, eradicate fraudulent candidates, and guarantee the precision of candidate information through de-duplication.
This initiative is expected to bolster the credibility and reliability of the recruitment process, thereby preserving public trust in competitive examinations, the government stated.
Additionally, the Cabinet has decided to raise the ceiling on the death-cum-retirement gratuity for government employees by 25 percent, increasing it from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. This adjustment is set to be implemented from January 1, 2024.
In a similar vein, the Cabinet has ratified a 25 percent increase in the maximum limit of death-cum-retirement gratuity for judicial officers, elevating it from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. This change will also take effect from January 1, 2024.
These measures aim to enhance financial security for government employees and their families, as well as for judicial officers.
The Cabinet has also approved the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the execution of the Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana (MMPSY) for the year 2024-25.
According to the SOP, rather than reimbursing the premium to beneficiaries of PMJJBY, PMSBY, PMKMY, PMSYMY, and PMLVMY under the Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana, an amount of Rs 1,000 per eligible family annually will be transferred to the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana (DAYALU) for compensation payments under DAYALU for families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh or less, and possessing a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
Notably, the Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana was announced on February 6, 2020, with the goal of delivering financial aid and social welfare, including life and accident insurance and pension benefits, to qualifying families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Cabinet has also approved an increase in the ex-gratia payment to the families of battle casualties of Central armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel, with the revised ex-gratia rising from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
