Jaipur, Dec 9 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized that Rajasthan possesses immense opportunities for advancement and investment in sectors like mining, energy, education, tourism, and health.
While significant investors from both India and abroad are increasingly committing resources to these sectors, it is a source of pride that non-resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) are also engaging in the mission to transform Rajasthan into a developed state through investments in their native land.
He reiterated the commitment of the state government to meet the expectations of investors and to provide comprehensive support.
The Chief Minister was speaking with members of eight NRI Chapters from various locations in India and abroad at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday.
He praised the chapters for motivating overseas Rajasthanis to engage in initiatives aimed at the social and economic development of the state.
He also acknowledged their enthusiastic participation in the upcoming NRI Day event set to take place at JECC, Sitapura, on Wednesday, December 10.
Sharma stated that NRIs have significantly enhanced the recognition and prestige of Rajasthan worldwide through their dedication and accomplishments, and many continue to support social causes in the state, preserving a strong emotional and cultural bond with their roots.
To boost NRI involvement further, he shared that the state government has created a district-wise development gap dashboard.
This initiative will enable NRRs to identify key areas and contribute effectively to developmental projects in their respective villages, towns, and districts, in collaboration with philanthropists and local actors.
The Chief Minister underscored the establishment of the Department of National and International NRI Affairs, which offers a focused platform for dialogue and collaboration between diaspora Rajasthanis and the government.
He mentioned that the Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) Policy of Rajasthan-2025 aims to create a supportive environment for NRRs to invest in trade, knowledge exchange, research, and other sectors, thereby enhancing the overall ecosystem to accelerate investment driven by the diaspora.
Representatives from various chapters remarked that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Rajasthan has experienced notable development over the past two years, fostering a robust environment conducive to industry and investment.
They expressed that NRRs are actively and resolutely working to promote investment in Rajasthan, and that NRR Day serves as a prime opportunity to reconnect with their homeland.
