Palamu (Jharkhand), Aug 12 (NationPress) A 16-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped while heading to catch a train in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Monday night, as per police reports from Tuesday.

The victim, who lives in the vicinity of the Patan police station in Palamu, was traveling with her younger sister to Punjab. While they were waiting at Daltonganj railway station, two men approached them, falsely claiming to be police officers.

They requested the girls’ personal information, including their names and addresses, asserting that they needed to conduct an interrogation.

Subsequently, the men took the sisters on motorcycles to a remote location in the Chainpur area, where the elder sister was allegedly gang-raped. The younger sister was coerced into silence.
