Bhopal, March 24 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla stated on Monday that MLAs address issues to enhance their respective constituencies rather than to create political narratives.

Shukla emphasized that raising questions reflects the MLAs' dedication to their constituencies and should not be interpreted differently.

He mentioned that the BJP perceives genuine concerns positively.

Shukla's remarks came in response to some BJP MLAs criticizing their own government during the Budget session, which began on March 10 and wrapped up on Monday.

While several MLAs from both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress voiced various issues and expressed dissatisfaction, the inquiries from BJP MLA Chintamani Malviya regarding alleged irregularities in the state's land acquisition process in Ujjain attracted significant attention.

Additionally, Alot (Ujjain) MLA Malviya and Sidhi district MLA Riti Pathak openly criticized their government in the state Assembly on Monday, raising alarms about the lack of doctors and insufficient healthcare facilities in their districts and the state overall.

On the final day of the Budget session, Riti Pathak highlighted multiple shortcomings within the state’s healthcare system, especially in her constituency.

She disclosed that the Sidhi district hospital currently has only 12 specialist doctors instead of the required 37. Furthermore, six medical officer positions remain unfilled, worsening the healthcare situation in the district.

Riti Pathak demanded clarity from the government regarding actions being taken to enhance medical services in Sidhi, which has a large tribal population.

She highlighted the disparity between healthcare services in Rewa — the home district of Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla — and her neighboring Sidhi district, which suffers from inadequate medical care.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla informed IANS that Riti Pathak raised a valid concern. “However, some individuals attempt to frame these issues in different perspectives,” the Deputy Chief Minister remarked.
