Lucknow, June 10 (NationPress) Celebrating 11 years of the Modi-led government at the national level, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the administration's accomplishments on Tuesday, claiming that the focus is on public satisfaction rather than appeasement.
Addressing a gathering at the BJP office, Yogi stated, “The development pursued by the Modi government transcends mere slogans. It seamlessly merges 'virasat' (heritage) with 'vikas' (growth), ensuring that every citizen is included in this transformative journey. Today, those benefiting from government initiatives are recognized for their requirements rather than their identities.”
He underscored that India has progressed past the times of corruption, favoritism, and nepotism.
“Under PM Modi's guidance, India is making significant strides toward self-sufficiency. Over the last 11 years, a comprehensive plan for the next 25 years has been established — concentrating not just on social and cultural revival but also on efficient service delivery, effective governance, and economic resilience.”
Yogi remarked that the central government is dedicated to serving all segments of society. “From dismantling dynastic politics to empowering women through initiatives such as the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam and their participation in the NDA, the transformation is evident.”
Stressing the importance of constitutional respect, CM Yogi stated, “For the first time, Constitution Day is being commemorated with genuine respect for the principles established by Babasaheb Ambedkar.”
Contrasting the previous era with the current one, he commented, “Before 2014, India was a land plagued by skepticism. Today, we are the world's fourth-largest economy, having overtaken Japan. Our per capita income has risen to nearly Rs 2.5 lakh.”
Yogi also highlighted the nation's infrastructure advancements. “Infrastructure is the backbone of a robust economy, from highways to airports. Though this initiative began under Atal ji's vision, it has now accelerated to constructing highways at a rate of 35 km per day, compared to just 11 km during the UPA period. The establishment of high-speed corridors like the Delhi-Meerut Expressway is testament to this progress.”
He noted that metro rail services have set a benchmark for public transportation. “Metro operations are now available in 23 cities, with six located in Uttar Pradesh.”
“Since 2017, 16 airports have become operational in Uttar Pradesh, including four international ones. The fifth, Jewar International Airport, will be operational shortly,” he added.
He asserted that with its accelerating growth and development initiatives, India is on track to become the world's third-largest economy by 2027.
