This year, the state government has disbursed a total of Rs 188.52 crore under the flood relief fund, which includes the recent Rs 20 crore and Rs 58 crore released last month.
In the virtual interaction, the Chief Minister emphasized that the BJP government stands firmly with farmers and is dedicated to delivering all possible support.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is consistently working towards enhancing the livelihoods of farmers," stated Yadav. This latest funding installment was made following a review meeting that the Chief Minister held concerning ongoing relief operations in flood-hit regions and the status of fertilizer distribution on September 3.
Collectors and relevant officials from all districts participated virtually in the meeting, alongside Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana, and other officials.
During the meeting, CM Yadav directed that immediate relief should be commenced in areas where crops have suffered damage due to heavy rainfall and floods. For cases involving human or livestock fatalities, assistance must be provided within 24 hours.
He also instructed that essential materials be prepped at all possible locations to facilitate prompt arrangements for temporary camps, food distribution, and supply during floods.
With forecasts of heavy rain in the upcoming days, he alerted police and district administrations to stay vigilant and active, ensuring precautionary measures such as barricading bridges and issuing warnings against crossing them during floods.
According to state government statistics, Madhya Pradesh has seen 971.5 mm (38.24 inches) of rainfall from June 1 to September 2, exceeding the average by 21 percent. Twenty-one districts have experienced above-normal precipitation, with the highest rainfall recorded in Guna, Mandla, Sheopur, Raisen, and Ashoknagar.
