New Delhi, Sep 6 (NationPress) Officials from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) addressed a total of 95 public grievances during a recently held Suvidha Camp aimed at assisting residents and service users, as stated by an official on Saturday.
The camp focused on providing information, facilitating services, and resolving complaints, according to the official.
Attendees had the opportunity to discuss their grievances directly with NDMC officials from various departments for prompt resolutions.
For grievances needing policy-level interventions, explanations were provided along with estimated timelines for resolution, as mentioned by the official.
A total of 95 grievances were documented from the public during the camp, handled by the respective NDMC Officers.
The majority of complaints from New Delhi residents were related to the Personnel, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, Public Health, Enforcement, Commercial, Tax, and Estate departments.
In addition, hundreds of residents and service users attended the Suvidha Camp to gather information regarding NDMC Civic Services, as noted by the official.
More than 100 officials from 30 NDMC Departments were present at the camp to provide immediate resolutions to grievances. Help desks were managed by the Heads of various departments.
Alongside the Suvidha Camps, NDMC has introduced the “Jan Suvidha Portal” as a contactless mechanism for grievance redressal for residents and service users.
The Jan Suvidha portal link can be found on the NDMC website, allowing users to lodge grievances, track their status, and provide feedback on the resolution process. Complaints can also be submitted via social media platforms.
Just the previous day, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated NDMC’s new educational initiative – “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” – which will benefit over 28,000 students in NDMC schools. She also honored 15 NDMC teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day at Talkatora Stadium.
Upon unveiling the new curriculum for NDMC school students, CM Gupta remarked that teachers are the true architects of our nation, instilling values in children today that will shape the vibrant tapestry of India’s future.
“Just like a seed nurtured with care grows into a mighty banyan tree, the knowledge and values teachers impart to young minds will blossom into strong, responsible citizens of tomorrow,” she emphasized.
