The Chief Minister made this declaration during a public event marking Maharaja Chhatrasal Jayanti in the Panna district of the Bundelkhand region in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav noted that the state government will also officially commemorate Chhatrasal Jayanti.
During the event, he paid floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Chhatrasal located in Chhatrasal Park and honored his memory at the Chhatrasal Gaddi.
He reminisced about how Maharaja Chhatrasal astutely selected Panna as his capital, a city known for possessing India's finest diamonds.
Affectionately referred to as 'Bundelkhand Kesari', Chhatrasal is celebrated for his valor in resisting Mughal dominance and for establishing an independent Hindu kingdom. His legacy is immortalized by the magnificent Ashtadhatu statue in Panna.
While addressing a large audience, the Chief Minister reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the development of the Bundelkhand region, particularly highlighting the Ken-Betwa river linking project.
He stated that this project represents a monumental initiative by PM Modi that will usher in prosperity for Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, and the broader Bundelkhand area.
'Farmers’ lives will transform for the better, bringing happiness to the region,' he expressed.
In conjunction with this, Yadav performed bhoomi-pujan and inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 90 crore, which includes the Shri Jugal Kishore Lok project.
Highlighting Panna's historical and natural riches, the Chief Minister remarked that the land is endowed with both courage and vast diamond reserves.
He stressed the state government's dedication to good governance, noting the closure of liquor shops in Panna and 18 other sacred towns.
He mentioned plans to replace liquor shops with milk parlors, promoting animal husbandry and cow protection, and announced an increase in the honorarium for cows in shelters from Rs 20 to Rs 40 per day.
