Bhopal, April 17 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Youth and Welfare Minister Vishvas Sarang on Thursday released a video featuring Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and criticized him for his communal admission.

During a press conference, Minister Sarang stated: “Digvijaya Singh's admission regarding his participation in communal violence has emerged through a viral video. Now, it has been confirmed that the Congress party and its leader, Digvijaya Singh, were implicated in communal violence in Madhya Pradesh.”

The minister further asserted that Digvijaya has “confessed” to his role in the communal unrest that transpired in Bhopal in 1992.

In the video shared by Minister Sarang, Digvijaya allegedly stated: “After the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992, I made all efforts to instigate communal violence in Bhopal. When the partition occurred in 1947, Madhya Pradesh remained completely peaceful. When Babri Masjid was demolished (1992), I was the state Congress president. I stayed at the office for a week and attempted to incite communal violence.”

In response to these allegations, Digvijaya accused the BJP minister of disseminating a “morphed” video.

He contended that the video had been manipulated and that the word “no” was removed from his statements.

“It is well-known how the BJP fabricates fake news and videos. They have deleted words from my complete statement,” Digvijaya Singh told IANS.

Last week, posters branding Digvijaya as a “gaddar” (traitor) following his opposition to the Waqf (Amendment) Bill in the Rajya Sabha ignited a verbal dispute between him and the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh.
