Bhopal, Oct 21 (NationPress) In a remarkable advancement in infrastructure development and public safety, the government of Madhya Pradesh has declared plans to build 25,000 residential units dedicated to police personnel through the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana. This ambitious housing project will involve an investment of ₹5,700 crore, aimed at providing affordable housing for eligible police beneficiaries throughout the state.

While addressing police personnel on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the government’s dedication to inclusive growth and the welfare of police members.

“We are committed to ensuring housing for all. Our police personnel carry out their duties under challenging conditions, regardless of the weather,” he noted.

“The Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana will significantly enhance the living conditions of thousands of police families by providing them with dignified housing,” he added.

The implementation of this scheme will be phased, with an initial focus on low-ranking police personnel.

Alongside the housing initiative, the state government has introduced a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the police force.

Dr. Yadav confirmed that 7,500 vacancies will be created annually across different ranks, from Constables to Sub-Inspectors, as many positions remain unfilled in various police stations.

“We are committed to strengthening law enforcement. These recruitments will occur each year, with all vacant posts expected to be filled within the next three years,” the Chief Minister asserted.

This initiative is projected to enhance public safety and improve response times in both urban and rural locales. Additionally, it presents significant employment opportunities for the youth in Madhya Pradesh, aligning with the state’s broader objectives.
