Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday, 10 June tabled a formal resolution at the NDA allies' conclave in New Delhi, congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister. The resolution was presented before an assembly of NDA Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and senior alliance leaders gathered to deliberate on governance and India's development roadmap.

Naidu's Resolution and Tribute

Tabling the resolution, Naidu — who also serves as the national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) — described the occasion as 'a great honour' and called it 'a historic tribute to India's longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister.' He characterised Modi as 'a right leader, at the right time, at the right place,' crediting him with functioning as both an anchor and an innovator driven by a singular 'Nation First' agenda.

Naidu traced Modi's public career from his tenure as Chief Minister from 2001, noting nearly 25 years in public office. 'A proven performer as Chief Minister and now as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi continues to demonstrate the same spirit, same creativity, same innovation,' he said.

Economic Stability and Global Standing

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister pointed to India's macroeconomic resilience as evidence of Modi's governance record. Despite global turmoil, fractured supply chains, and energy market disruptions, he noted, India has maintained inflation at around 3.5 per cent — among the lowest in major economies. Naidu further said that all global surveys indicate Modi is 'the most popular leader globally,' adding that India's international standing has risen considerably.

He expressed confidence that India will achieve the status of the world's number one economy under Modi's continued leadership, calling this moment 'the beginning of a golden era' and reaffirming the alliance's commitment to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

Kumaraswamy Marks 12 Years of NDA Governance

Janata Dal (Secular) leader and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy also congratulated the Prime Minister, specifically marking the successful completion of 12 years of NDA governance at the Centre. He cited transformative progress across infrastructure, manufacturing, digital empowerment, welfare delivery, healthcare, financial inclusion, national security, and global engagement as hallmarks of the past decade.

Kumaraswamy said Modi's leadership had been 'instrumental in driving large-scale reforms, promoting transparency and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society.' He reaffirmed his own commitment to the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal and expressed confidence that India would 'scale new heights of progress, prosperity and global leadership' under Modi's guidance.

The NDA Conclave: Scope and Agenda

The gathering in New Delhi brought together the ruling coalition's top leadership to deliberate on governance priorities and the country's development trajectory. Beyond the ceremonial resolution, the conclave served as a platform for aligning NDA partners on policy direction ahead of what alliance leaders described as a defining phase for India's economic ambitions.
