Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday, 29 September issued a firm warning that any obstruction to development would not be tolerated, urging citizens to rally behind the state's reconstruction agenda. He made the remarks while addressing a public meeting at Ramapuram village in Nellore district as part of the Palle Panduga-3.0 programme.

Key Remarks at Ramapuram

Naidu alleged that certain forces were threatening a 'bloodbath' through destructive activity, and called on the public to distinguish between the instability of the past and the progress of the present. He urged citizens to separate, in his words, those who 'criminalise politics' from those who 'transform lives through it.' Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also addressed the gathering.

The Chief Minister specifically alleged that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) was orchestrating 'destructive actions and conspiracies' even after its defeat in the 2024 elections. He asked voters to recognise the coalition government's work while staying vigilant against what he described as the opposition's continued scheming.

Development Milestones Cited

Naidu recalled the 2024 pre-election pledge made by the alliance comprising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pawan Kalyan, and himself to rebuild Andhra Pradesh. He noted that the public had delivered an unprecedented majority, with the alliance achieving a 94 per cent strike rate — a result he described as historic.

On infrastructure, Naidu contrasted the previous government's record of laying 880 kilometres of CC roads over five years with the coalition's achievement of 6,500 kilometres in just two years. He credited Pawan Kalyan specifically with steering villages toward development.

The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister jointly launched rural development works worth ₹11,085 crore at the event.

Debt Burden and Welfare Continuity

Naidu acknowledged that the coalition inherited a debt burden of approximately ₹10 lakh crore, yet maintained that welfare programmes were not paused. He said the Super Six schemes were implemented despite severe fiscal constraints, crediting the support of the Central Government and Prime Minister Modi's intervention at a time when Andhra Pradesh was, as he put it, on 'ventilator support.'

Economic Reforms and Brand AP

The Chief Minister said the government had successfully restored the 'Brand AP' image, pointing to renewed industrial interest in the state. He added that new policies were shifting the administrative focus from 'Ease of Doing Business' to 'Speed of Doing Business,' signalling an intent to accelerate approvals and reduce bureaucratic friction.

With local body elections on the horizon, Naidu expressed confidence that the NDA's momentum — which he said had grown stronger since 2024 — would translate into alliance victories at the grassroots level as well.
