Amaravati, Jan 18 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday refuted the claims made by the Opposition party, YSR Congress Party, regarding alleged 'credit theft' by the coalition government.
He emphasized that since the alliance assumed power in the State, extensive development and welfare initiatives have been rolled out, yet others are attempting to take credit for these achievements.
While addressing a gathering at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) headquarters on the anniversary of the late party founder and former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao, he countered the allegations of 'credit theft' put forth by the YSRCP.
Naidu stated that conspiracies are a common aspect of politics and urged party leaders and workers to be ready to confront such challenges and counter what he termed as malicious propaganda.
“Over the past 18 months, various conspiracies have been plotted. The YSRCP originated from deceitful means. It is a party that was established with illicit funds. It is disheartening that we have to contend with such a party,” he remarked.
In response to reports from certain news organizations regarding 'credit theft', CM Naidu accused them of engaging in ongoing malicious propaganda.
“AM Green is investing $10 billion in Kakinada. Not only are they (YSRCP) attempting to claim credit for efforts they did not contribute to, but they are also accusing us of credit theft. Their behavior mirrors this pattern in numerous instances. Although they had no ties to Kia, they previously claimed responsibility for bringing that industry. Now, they are repeating the same theatrics,” he asserted.
The Chief Minister affirmed that it was the TDP that secured 2,500 acres of land for the Bhogapuram airport. He criticized the YSRCP government for halting a project that should have been completed earlier.
“We are establishing the first-ever Civil Aviation University. They are also claiming credit for this. While they are appropriating our achievements, they are simultaneously waging a smear campaign against us by accusing us of credit theft,” Naidu stated.
The Chief Minister claimed that projects such as Cyberabad, Kia, Google, Bhogapuram, and Green Energy were all initiated by the TDP. “Their credits lie in other areas, looting through sand, wine, mines, drugs, and Ganja,” he observed.
Naidu criticized the YSRCP for labeling Amaravati as a graveyard and desert, alleging that the situation regarding the capital was dire during their rule.
The TDP leader pointed out that discussions about three capitals have not affected the electoral outcomes, where NDA candidates won overwhelmingly in all three regions. “Let’s confidently affirm that Amaravati is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Amaravati is the capital of the gods. Amaravati is the people's capital. We will develop all areas. We will transform Visakhapatnam into a leading city, and Tirupati into a mega-city,” he proclaimed.
The Chief Minister cautioned that individuals who resort to character assassination on social media will face consequences. “We will not tolerate wrongful actions disguised as politics,” declared Chandrababu Naidu.
He asserted that the TDP has eradicated factional politics in the undivided Andhra Pradesh and has taken a strong stance against Maoists, clearly stating that factional politics will not be tolerated in the Palnadu region.
