Bengaluru, Nov 9 (NationPress) A viral video depicting a group of individuals conducting Namaz at Terminal-2 of Bengaluru International Airport has ignited a wave of criticism from the BJP on Monday.
As reported by airport officials, the prayer took place on Sunday around noon by a gathering of people and their families who were there to bid farewell to relatives embarking on the Hajj pilgrimage. During this farewell, they chose to perform Namaz.
The footage shows armed security personnel nearby, seemingly ignoring the situation. The video has rapidly circulated on social media, raising questions about the permissibility of prayers in a high-security area.
In response to the incident, Union Minister Kumaraswamy stated on Monday: “Bengaluru city has evolved to meet international standards. Numerous visitors come here, and individuals of various faiths require designated spaces for prayer. It is essential to make separate arrangements to avoid such public displays.”
When questioned about the ban on RSS Path Sanchalan in public areas without government consent while allowing Namaz in a secure zone, Home Minister G. Parameshwara remarked on Monday that he would investigate the issue.

Kharge concluded, “Let the BJP instruct their affiliates to withdraw the case, and everything will proceed smoothly.”
Vijay Prasad, spokesperson for the BJP in Karnataka, shared the video and questioned, “How is this permissible within Terminal-2 of Bengaluru International Airport? Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Minister Priyank Kharge, do you endorse this?”
