The students later expressed remorse, and the college authorities have pledged to take appropriate actions.

Initial reports indicate that tensions flared when footage of students from the Pharmacy Department offering namaz within college grounds circulated online. Following the video’s dissemination, members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal arrived at the college to protest. The local Hill Line Police were notified about the situation and promptly assessed the unfolding events.

The college authorities clarified that a few students had engaged in namaz for a brief period in an unoccupied classroom. The incident was recorded and subsequently shared on social media. The virality of the video triggered protests from specific organizations demanding accountability for the involved students.

The police arrived and managed to stabilize the situation. However, the administration requested that the matter be addressed internally, given its relevance to the academic environment. Respecting this request, the police ensured tranquility while allowing the college to take charge of the situation.
