New Delhi, Oct 21 (NationPress) The second iteration of the Indian Navy’s biannual Commanders’ Conference 2025 is set to occur over three days in New Delhi from October 22-24, according to officials on Tuesday.
This pivotal conference gains heightened importance against the backdrop of ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the Navy’s accelerated operations and combat readiness.
The Navy’s commitment to strengthening combat capabilities, promoting interoperability, and executing joint operations with the Indian Army, Indian Air Force (IAF), and Indian Coast Guard (ICG) highlights its determination to counter emerging threats and demonstrate maritime strength in the Indian Ocean Region and Indo-Pacific.
During the conference, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Cabinet Secretary T.V. Somanathan will address the Naval Commanders, offering insights into broader national interests and the vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.
“The conference provides a platform for direct interaction with the national leadership and bureaucrats, refining the Navy’s approach to address multi-dimensional challenges in the present geo-strategic landscape,” officials noted.
The event will also include speeches by CDS Anil Chauhan and Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, along with in-depth discussions with senior naval commanders.
These interactions aim to foster synergy in joint planning and execution of operations while optimizing resources for capability enhancement.
Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, the Chief of Naval Staff, alongside the Commander-in-Chiefs, will review and analyze strategies concerning the overall security landscape in the Indian Ocean region, identified as our primary area of responsibility.
Topics related to naval operations, training, and resource availability for diverse operational tasks in the current context will also be on the agenda.
The Commanders will explore the Navy’s strategic roadmap for future advancements, focusing on key enablers, enhanced operational logistics, and digitization.
“Planned discussions will assess disruptive technologies such as AI, Big Data, and ML for combat solutions and ensuring uninterrupted operations in a secure environment,” officials remarked.
On a broader scale, the Navy’s top leadership will evaluate its operational readiness on the Western and Eastern Seaboards, promote indigenization and innovation under the Make in India initiative, support the Government of India’s vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security Across all Regions), and position the Indian Navy as the Preferred Security Partner in the Indian Ocean Region and Indo-Pacific.
