New Delhi, Nov 22 (NationPress) The Indian Navy declared on Saturday that Navy Day 2025 will be celebrated with an extraordinary Operational Demonstration on December 3 at Shangumugham beach in Thiruvananthapuram, showcasing a vibrant display of precision, professionalism, and the force's growing maritime power.

This event, which was previously scheduled for December 4, has been moved forward by a day.

The celebration continues the Navy's approach to host Navy Day festivities outside of major naval bases. Past events took place in Puri, Odisha, and Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

The Navy stated, "This grand occasion will offer a distinctive chance for citizens to observe various aspects of the Indian Navy's multi-domain operations. The Operational Demonstration will highlight the Navy's cutting-edge operational platforms and its commitment as the 'Preferred Security Partner' in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), guided by the broader vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions)."

The demonstration will vividly illustrate the Navy's combat capabilities, technological advancements, and high level of operational readiness, reflecting India's increasing maritime influence and self-sufficiency.

The event will feature coordinated maneuvers by frontline platforms, symbolizing the Navy's ability to project power and precision across diverse maritime environments.

The statement highlighted that surface, sub-surface, and air assets will operate in flawless coordination, showcasing the Navy's preparedness to protect India's maritime boundaries.

In alignment with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the demonstration will present indigenous platforms that emphasize India's advancing defense manufacturing capabilities.

The Navy emphasized that these assets signify its unwavering focus on the 'Make in India' initiative and its dedication to developing a modern and technologically superior maritime force.

The festivities will also highlight the Navy's readiness and robust deterrent posture as demonstrated during 'Operation Sindoor', reaffirming its capacity to strike swiftly, accurately, and decisively.

"This demonstration honors the professionalism, discipline, and bravery of the men and women of the Indian Navy who protect the nation's sovereignty and maritime interests," the statement remarked.

Navy Day also commemorates the Navy's pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, during which Indian missile boats launched a daring attack on Karachi harbour under 'Operation Trident'.

This operation showcased the nation's maritime dominance along with strategic finesse, courage, and operational excellence.

The Operational Demonstration 2025 will celebrate the Navy's maritime strength and its identity as a combat-ready, cohesive, credible, and Aatmanirbhar force committed to securing the seas for a 'Viksit' and 'Samriddha Bharat'.
