Patna, Nov 15 (NationPress) In the wake of the NDA's remarkable victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, a flurry of political activity has commenced regarding the establishment of the new government in the state.
Key figures from the BJP, JD(U), and their allied parties have ramped up discussions on power distribution, Cabinet configuration, and the upcoming swearing-in ceremony.
Since Saturday morning, the residence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at 1 Aney Marg has become the hub of political discussions.
JD(U) Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, were among the first to arrive at the Chief Minister's residence.
Following them, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Union Minister Chirag Paswan paid a visit to Nitish Kumar for in-depth discussions.
Senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Shyam Rajak, along with newly-elected MLAs and officials, later joined the meeting.
Sources indicate that these discussions are focused on finalizing the Cabinet structure, determining portfolios, and preparing for the impending oath-taking ceremony.
After his meeting with Nitish Kumar, LJP-Ram Vilas leader Chirag Paswan credited the NDA’s significant victory to the Chief Minister’s leadership and efforts for unity.
He emphasized that Nitish Kumar’s visible support for the alliance—such as publicly displaying his inked finger during voting—communicated a strong message of solidarity.
The backing of LJP-Ram Vilas for JD(U) on the Alauli seat was also noted as a positive factor.
Chirag Paswan remarked, “Speculations about internal discord within the NDA were politically driven, and the overwhelming victory itself showcased the alliance's strength.”
He further stated that the NDA’s win represented a mandate for stability, unity, and development, and assured that the new government would advance with even greater coordination.
With all NDA partners indicating full support and confidence in Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the final details of the new government are expected to be revealed shortly.
The Cabinet is anticipated to feature a balanced representation from the BJP, JD(U), and smaller allies, reflecting the unity displayed during the campaign.
