PM Modi will kick off the BJP's election campaign in Samastipur, the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, where he plans to honor the late leader.
In a message on the social media platform X, PM Modi expressed his respect for Karpoori Thakur.
The Prime Minister noted that he is honored to pay tribute to Karpoori Thakur.
It is significant to mention that the Modi government awarded the Bharat Ratna, the nation's highest civilian award, to the Dalit leader posthumously.
Karpoori Thakur, a noted socialist figure and former Chief Minister of Bihar, is celebrated for his commitment to social equity and the empowerment of underprivileged communities.
The policies initiated by Karpoori Thakur, including reservations for backward classes, continue to influence the state.
In his message, Prime Minister Modi mentioned that he will address two large public rallies in the election-bound state.
He asserted that the enthusiasm among the people of Bihar indicates that the BJP is on track for a substantial win in the elections. "The energy and excitement of the people of Bihar suggest that the BJP-NDA is set to achieve a remarkable victory in the Assembly elections this time as well," he stated.
Apart from the Samastipur rally on Friday, PM Modi is scheduled to speak at public gatherings in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on October 30.
Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will conduct two significant election rallies on Friday, one in Siwan and the other in Buxar.
The BJP's state leadership has completed preparations for the high-profile visits of both PM Modi and Amit Shah, with local units mobilized to ensure a large public turnout.
The rallies hosted by PM Modi and Amit Shah are expected to elevate the political atmosphere in the state and invigorate the NDA campaign.
Bihar is set to vote in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with vote counting scheduled for November 14.
