Patna, March 16 (NationPress) Following a resounding success in the Rajya Sabha elections held on Monday, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin congratulated Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rashtriya Lok Morcha President Upendra Kushwaha, Janata Dal-United leader Ram Nath Thakur, and BJP leader Shivesh Ram for their election to the Rajya Sabha.

“Election to the Rajya Sabha brings significant responsibility. I am optimistic that your wealth of experience and commitment to public welfare will enhance efforts to highlight Bihar's development issues and public interests on a national platform,” Nabin remarked.

He further stated that the NDA's triumph under Prime Minister Narendra Modi will boost the determination to create a prosperous India.

In the meantime, Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary took to social media platform X to comment on the Rajya Sabha results.

“In light of the NDA's decisive victory in the Rajya Sabha elections, I welcomed BJP President Nitin Nabin along with prominent party leaders upon his arrival at the Bihar Assembly,” Deputy CM Choudhary expressed.

The top four candidates surpassed the necessary quota through first-preference votes, whereas Shivesh Ram, with 30 first-preference votes, ultimately achieved victory through second-preference votes.
