Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Feb 9 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hosted a remarkable felicitation event at Bapu Auditorium in Patna on Sunday, celebrating its newly appointed national president, Nitin Nabin.
Party members greeted him with enthusiasm, waving saffron scarves as he made his entrance.
The ambiance was vibrant, with the song “Modi–Nitish ki jodi…” resonating in the background as leaders welcomed him from the stage.
In his address, Nitin Nabin emphasized that political parties focused solely on personalities and dynasties cannot promise a prosperous future for Bihar or the nation.
Reflecting on his political journey, Nabin recounted that he entered politics nearly 20 years ago in 2006, following his father's passing.
He acknowledged that it was the then Bihar BJP president Radha Mohan Singh who first inspired him to run for elections, further stating that he had the guidance and support of the former national president Rajnath Singh, along with the entire party apparatus.
Expressing his gratitude, Nitin Nabin thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially for the support from Bihar, and committed to working tirelessly to uphold the faith placed in him.
This visit marked his first to Patna since assuming the role of the BJP national president.
The BJP chief also expressed appreciation to the citizens of Bihar for continuously providing him the opportunity to serve as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
Reflecting on his long-standing connection with the party's youth wing, Nabin advised young workers against seeking shortcuts in politics.
“Politics is not a sprint; it is a marathon. To realize Prime Minister Modi’s vision and construct the India of his aspirations, we must all work diligently and sincerely during our time,” he stated.
Highlighting the BJP’s ideological roots, Nitin Nabin noted that Shyama Prasad Mukherjee established the foundation of nationalism, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya introduced the Antyodaya philosophy—uplifting the poorest—and Atal Bihari Vajpayee conveyed the principles of good governance.
He added that today’s BJP administrations are influenced by the combined ideals of these three great leaders, dedicated to inclusive development, nationalism, and transparent governance.
