Patna, May 4 (NationPress) The NEET UG 2025 examination in Bihar took place on Sunday without any incidents, demonstrating a remarkable shift from the previous year's issues of paper leaks and misconduct. The event unfolded smoothly, showcasing the effectiveness of security measures put in place.

As per the Education Department, around 1.25 lakh candidates participated in this significant examination, which was organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

In Patna, a total of 74 examination centres, predominantly located in government institutions, were established for the candidates.

The Bapu Examination Centre in Kumhrar stood out as the largest venue, accommodating over 15,000 candidates.

District administrations implemented robust security protocols and adhered to guidelines rigorously. A comprehensive three-tier security system was in effect across all centres.

Additionally, mobile jammers were installed to prevent unauthorized communications. Candidates were permitted to bring only their admit cards, pens, and transparent water bottles, with a strict prohibition on mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or any electronic gadgets; invigilators were also subject to these regulations.

Students commenced their arrival at 11:30 AM and were granted entry from 12 PM to 1:30 PM, with the examination taking place from 2 PM to 5 PM.

District magistrates and SPs actively monitored all centres in their areas throughout the examination process.

This successful execution of the exam comes in the wake of the infamous NEET 2024 paper leak incident in Patna, which triggered a significant scandal.

The investigation, initially conducted by Patna Police, was later assigned to the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) and subsequently to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
