Hyderabad, April 16 (NationPress) The Union Ministry of Railways has given the green light for the launch of new train services in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. These include the Charlapalli-Narasapur-Charlapalli Weekly Express and the Narsapur-Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express.

As per the announcement from the South Central Railway (SCR), the ministry has approved the operations of Train No. 17061/17062 Charlapalli - Narasapur - Charlapalli Weekly Express, formalizing the previous Train No. 07061/07062 Charlapalli - Narasapur - Charlapalli Special Train Services.

Train No. 17061 Charlapalli-Narsapur Express will operate every Saturday, while Train No. 17062 Narsapur-Charlapalli Express is scheduled for Sundays.

The inaugural service from Charlapalli is set to begin on May 2, departing at 7:50 PM and arriving in Narsapur at 7 AM the following day. Notable stops along the route will include Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikalur, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Viravasaram, and Palakollu.

For the return journey, the train will leave Narsapur at 8 PM, reaching Charlapalli by 7:50 AM the next day.

The train will feature accommodations in 2A, 3A, Sleeper, and General Second Class Coaches, as reported by the SCR.

Additionally, the Railway Ministry has approved the launch of Train No. 17428/17427 Narsapur - Tirupati - Narsapur Weekly Express, which formalizes the Train No. 07131/07132 Narsapur - Tirupati - Narsapur special service.

Train No. 17428 Narsapur-Tirupati will operate every Monday, while Train No. 17427 Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express will run on Sundays.

This new weekly service will kick off on April 27, with the train leaving Narsapur at 3:50 PM and arriving in Tirupati by 3:40 AM the next morning. The train will stop at Pakalollu, Bhimavaram Junction, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikalur, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, and Renigunta.

The Tirupati-Narsapur Weekly Express is scheduled to depart from Tirupati on May 3 at 10:10 PM, arriving in Narsapur at 9:30 AM the following day.

In another development, the Railway Board has approved the extension of Train No. 20916/20915 Indore-Lingampalli-Indore Humsafar Express to Charlapalli, effective from April 25.

This train will depart Indore on Saturdays at 11:15 AM, reaching Charlapalli by 2:15 PM the next day. In the reverse journey, it will leave Charlapalli on Sundays at 8:45 PM, arriving back in Indore at 12:15 AM on Tuesday.

Furthermore, the Railway Board has increased the frequency of Train No. 12775/12776 Kakinada Town - Lingampalli - Kakinada Town Express from a Tri-Weekly service to a daily operation, starting from April 21. This train will now have an additional stop at Samalkot Railway Station.
