The newly announced trains will operate between Charlapalli station and Anakapalle, as confirmed by the SCR.
Train number 07479 will leave Anakapalle at 10:30 p.m. on January 18 and is scheduled to arrive at Charlapalli at 11:30 a.m. the following day. Meanwhile, train number 07477 will depart from Charlapalli at 12:40 a.m. on January 19 and reach Anakapalle at 9 p.m. on the same day.
The third service, train number 07478, will also depart from Anakapalle at 10:30 p.m. on January 19 and arrive at Charlapalli at 11:30 a.m. the next day.
Previously, SCR had already announced four special trains running between Hyderabad and Sirpur Kagazhnagar, in addition to ten special trains operating between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
To date, the SCR has launched over 170 special trains on vital routes, including Vijayawada, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Visakhapatnam, and Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh. An additional 130 special trains will also be introduced to manage the increased demand.
Additionally, to address the rise in passenger numbers during the Sankranti festival, SCR has implemented various measures to alleviate the anticipated passenger rush.
The average expected daily footfall during the festival is around 2.20 lakh passengers at Secunderabad, 50,000 at Lingampalli, and 35,000 at Charlapalli stations.
To manage the influx of passengers, the ground operations team, including TTEs and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, will be stationed at Secunderabad station. Additional staff will also be present at all entry and exit points.
A comprehensive CCTV surveillance control room has been established, and a war room is operational around the clock at the divisional headquarters. Construction sites have been fully barricaded for safety, and all obstacles at entry and exit points have been removed to ensure smooth passenger flow.
Due to ongoing redevelopment at Secunderabad Railway Station, parking has been temporarily halted, with limited pick-up and drop-off services available at Platform No. 1. Access control at the Bhoiguda entrance (near Platform No. 10) has been lifted temporarily to expedite passenger movement.
