SCR to Operate Six Special Trains for Sankranti Festival Rush

Hyderabad, Jan 1 (NationPress) The South Central Railway (SCR) announced on Wednesday its plan to run six special trains between Hyderabad and Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh to accommodate the heightened travel demand during the Sankranti festival season.
The services will operate from Kacheguda Station to Kakinada Town and from Hyderabad to Kakinada Town between January 9 and January 12.
There will be four trips of the special train numbered 07653/07654 running from Kacheguda to Kakinada Town and back.
These special trains will halt at Malkajgiri, Cherlapalli, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, and Samalkot stations in both directions, as stated by the SCR.
Train number 07653 will operate from Kacheguda to Kakinada Town on January 9 and January 11.
These trains will depart Kacheguda at 8:30 PM and will arrive at Kakinada Town at 8:00 AM the following day.
Train number 07654 will run from Kakinada Town to Kacheguda on January 10 and January 12.
This service will leave Kakinada Town at 5:10 PM and reach Kacheguda at 4:30 AM the next morning.
Additionally, there will be two services of train number 07023/07024 operating between Hyderabad and Kakinada Town.
These special trains will also stop at Secunderabad, Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram Town, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Anaparthi, and Samalkot in both directions.
Train number 07023 will leave Hyderabad at 6:30 PM on January 10 and will arrive at Kakinada Town at 7:10 AM the next day.
Train number 07024 will depart Kakinada Town at 8:00 PM on January 11 and reach Hyderabad at 8:30 AM the following day.
These special trains will feature 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper Class, and General Second Sitting coaches.
Ticket bookings for these trains will commence at 8:00 AM on January 2.
Every year, thousands of families from Hyderabad and nearby areas travel back to their hometowns in Telangana and neighboring Andhra Pradesh for the Sankranti festival, which is celebrated on January 15.
