Itanagar, Oct 28 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, officially opened the newly established Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) LPG bottling plant in Naharlagun on Tuesday, representing a significant leap towards achieving energy independence and fostering industrial growth in the northeastern state.
During the inauguration of the IOCL’s LPG bottling facility at Papu Nallah (Jullang Road) in Naharlagun, the Chief Minister hailed the project as a manifestation of “Atma Nirbhar Arunachal in action,” highlighting its potential to create job opportunities, stimulate local economic progress, and fortify the region’s industrial framework.
He expressed his sincere congratulations to IOCL and B.A. Enterprises, the partner in this project, for their commitment and efficiency in bringing this modern facility to fruition in an impressive timeframe.
Spanning over 46,000 square meters, the plant features three advanced LPG storage bullets with a cumulative capacity of 87 metric tonnes, capable of refilling 3,000 LPG cylinders each day in one shift. This development substantially enhances the state’s gas supply chain and guarantees consistent access to clean cooking fuel for countless households.
Chief Minister Khandu remarked that since the closure of the bottling facility at Kimin, gas agencies in Arunachal Pradesh have struggled to ensure timely delivery of LPG cylinders to consumers, who have been relying on procurement from Assam.
He noted that the launch of this plant would provide significant relief to the approximately 95 agencies operating throughout the state.
Paying homage to the late Bamang Raman, the founder of B.A. Enterprises, the Chief Minister stated: “This project transcends infrastructure; it embodies the realization of a visionary dream.”
He praised Bamang Amer, the widow of the late Raman and the Managing Director of B.A. Enterprises, for her “extraordinary resilience and leadership” in completing the project following her husband’s passing earlier this year.
The Chief Minister acknowledged her and her children as exemplars for Arunachal’s youth, showcasing family enterprise and determination.
“This facility symbolizes our government’s dedication to improving the quality of life for every citizen,” Khandu emphasized, stating that the reliable and consistent supply of LPG aligns with the Central Government’s vision of providing clean energy access to all.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs, the Chief Minister urged the youth of the state to draw inspiration from Amer’s journey.
“Our government will consistently support young entrepreneurs in transforming their visions into reality and become the architects of ‘Viksit Arunachal’,” he affirmed.
