New Delhi, April 25 (NationPress) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made notable strides in the inquiry concerning the murder of Ratan Dubey, a prominent BJP leader in Chhattisgarh, which occurred in 2023.
On Thursday, the agency apprehended Shivanand Nag, a significant suspect who was deeply involved in the conspiracy.
The crime was purportedly orchestrated by the outlawed CPI (Maoist) group, aiming to disrupt the democratic framework and instill fear within local communities.
Members of the Bayanar and Barsoor Area Committees of the East Bastar Division collaborated to devise and execute the attack.
Investigations have uncovered that Shivanand Nag played a pivotal role in the scheme, coordinating with other members to target Dubey. His arrest follows the earlier detainment of three other suspects linked to the case.
In February 2024, the NIA took charge of the investigation from local authorities to explore the conspiracy further.
The agency has subsequently filed a charge sheet against those involved, including Dhansingh Korram a.k.a. Sukhdev Korram, under relevant sections of the IPC and UA(PA) Act.
