Patna, Dec 12 (NationPress) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) reported on Thursday that a poultry vendor has been apprehended over suspected anti-national activities in Bajpatti Goth village, within the Sitamarhi district of Bihar.

An official indicated that the NIA conducted raids early on Thursday morning, around 4 a.m., detaining the poultry seller, Mohammad Aleem, from his residence for questioning.

He was subsequently taken to the Bajpatti police station. This operation has sparked inquiries and created a significant buzz in the locality.

In a conversation, Atanu Dutta, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Pupri, stated that the investigation is ongoing and further information cannot be disclosed at this moment.

He emphasized that Aleem's questioning is part of the investigation, yet no formal arrests have been made thus far.

"The investigation is still in progress. No definitive conclusions can be drawn at this juncture," Dutta mentioned.

The NIA's operation in Bajpatti Goth, Sitamarhi district, Bihar, has intensified with the participation of senior police officials. Following updates about the situation, Sadar DSP Ramakrishna and Pupri DSP Atanu Dutta arrived at the Bajpatti police station to gather information regarding the operation.

Sources revealed that authorities have confiscated Aleem's mobile phone, which is being sent for forensic examination in hopes of unearthing any incriminating evidence.
