Officials indicated that these raids were executed simultaneously across the Valley.
“The sites targeted by the NIA today comprise the residences of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay, Dr Adil Rather, Dr Muzammil Ganai, Amir Rashid, Jasir Bilal Wani, among others. The raids took place in Nadigam village of Shopian, Koil, Chandgam, Malangpora, and Samboora villages of Pulwama,” the officials reported.
The teams were on the lookout for evidence potentially linked to the white-collar terror module and the Delhi blast.
“So far, the NIA has apprehended six individuals in relation to the Delhi blast case. The tragic incident on November 10 resulted in at least 13 fatalities and numerous injuries after a high-intensity explosion occurred near the Red Fort area,” officials stated.
The explosive-laden i20 car was operated by Dr Umar Nabi from Koil village in Pulwama district. He successfully evaded capture after his associates, Dr Adil Rather from Qazigund and Dr Muzammil Ganai from Koil, were detained by J&K Police and Haryana Police during the crackdown on the white-collar terror module in Faridabad (Haryana).
The apprehension of two overground workers (OGWs) associated with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group led J&K Police to Faridabad, where the terror module run by Kashmiri doctors employed at Al-Falah University was dismantled.
During the operation in Faridabad, over 2,900 kg of explosive materials, electronic detonation devices, and more were confiscated.
A female doctor from Lucknow, Dr Shaheed Saeed, was also detained in connection with the terror module. She was wed to Dr Muzammil Ganai and worked as a pharmacologist at Al-Falah University.
