Aizawl, April 9 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, stated on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi prioritizes the advancement of northeastern states, recognizing that a prosperous India significantly relies on the progress of NE states.

During a meeting in Mizoram's Siaha district, the MoS Home highlighted the substantial developmental initiatives that have been launched, which are clearly visible today.

He urged the district's residents to collaborate with the various border security forces stationed in the area to ensure the nation's safety.

Emphasizing that one of the principal goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is to promote regional languages nationwide, he encouraged the community to disregard rumors suggesting an imposition of Hindi.

Additionally, he discussed the Citizenship Amendment Act, aimed at providing citizenship to religious minorities from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

The Minister asserted that this initiative is to safeguard religious minority groups from these nations and to reaffirm India's secular character.

MoS Rai urged attendees to recognize PM Modi's contributions to the nation and to assist in disseminating his developmental agenda.

Mara Autonomous District Council (MADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) M Laikaw praised the Minister, emphasizing that this visit symbolizes the fulfillment of MADC's political aspirations regarding the Amendment to the 6th Schedule of the Indian Constitution and offered blessings for his future efforts.
