Hyderabad, May 13 (NationPress) The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau took to social media on Tuesday to refute claims regarding the arrest of a terrorist at Hyderabad Airport.
A video that circulated online suggested a terrorist was apprehended at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. However, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) confirmed that this assertion is unfounded.
According to TGCSB, “The video originates from a recent mock drill at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, conducted as part of regular security readiness.”
The Bureau urged the public to refrain from believing or disseminating unverified information. It emphasized that sharing misinformation can lead to legal consequences, urging citizens to depend solely on official announcements for updates.
In a related advisory, RGIA clarified that the video circulating on social media about terrorist activities at the airport is fabricated and misleading. “The images are from a mock drill exercise carried out as part of our preparedness measures due to the current situation,” it stressed.
The airport authorities reassured that operations remain normal, with enhanced security protocols established for the safety of all passengers.
In the meantime, Telangana police have implemented strict security measures at various venues for the ongoing Miss World pageant in Hyderabad.
Security has been intensified at the airport, hotels, historical sites, and other locations hosting events related to the beauty pageant.
A total of 115 contestants from around the world are participating in the 72nd Miss World, which commenced on May 10.
