In Arunachal Pradesh, Governor Lt Gen K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) marked the occasion with representatives from the Brahma Kumaris at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar. An official from Lok Bhavan mentioned that during discussions with the spiritual group, the Governor praised their dedication to fostering peace, harmony, and moral integrity within society. He encouraged them to persist in spreading positivity and nurturing communal harmony throughout the state.
The Governor emphasized that Holi, a festival celebrated with an explosion of colors, serves as a reminder to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, overlook differences, and reaffirm our commitment to collective welfare.
He expressed his desire for this joyous occasion to motivate citizens towards spreading peace and tranquility within the community. The festival saw participation from diverse communities across most Northeastern states.
In Tripura, Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu celebrated Holi with staff, children, and various officials at Lok Bhavan in Agartala.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Manik Saha of Tripura sent his warmest wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Dol Purnima and Holi.
In his message, he expressed his hope that the festival of colors and purity would bring joy, harmony, and mental peace to everyone's lives.
He further expressed optimism that the bonds of brotherhood, love, and goodwill would deepen during the festivities.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu also took to X to convey his warm wishes to the state's residents.
He noted that Holi serves as a reminder that despite our diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, we are united by common values of love and togetherness.
“May the colors of Holi inspire us to collaborate for the progress and prosperity of our state. Celebrate safely and responsibly. Happy Holi!” Khandu wrote.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also extended his greetings on this festive occasion and participated in Holi and Doul Utsav celebrations at Barpeta Satra.
