Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (NationPress) During the 77th Republic Day festivities, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized that the Constitution of India embodies the dharma, responsibilities, and lifestyle of every Indian.
Speaking to the crowd following the national flag hoisting in Cuttack, Majhi remarked that the Constitution unites us with the noble principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
He noted that this Constitution has granted Indians a unique identity worldwide, urging the populace to recognize their Fundamental Duties and uphold the values embedded within.
“The world’s longest written Constitution serves as a roadmap for our present and future. Regardless of caste, religion, or skin color, it represents the living standards for every Indian. It transcends being just a legal document; it is the essence of every Indian’s life, reflecting our dharma, duty, and lifestyle,” stated Majhi.
He paid heartfelt homage to B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution, whose contributions were crucial in its formation.
Majhi urged citizens to prioritize their fundamental responsibilities, stating, “As we protect our fundamental rights, it’s equally vital to fulfill our fundamental duties. This is essential for cultivating an ideal democratic society and a model nation.”
Touching upon various flagship welfare initiatives launched by the Union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister highlighted that the past eleven years have been transformative for India, marking a decade of substantial progress.
During his speech, CM Majhi called on Left-Wing Extremists to abandon violence and reintegrate into society. He also claimed that Odisha has witnessed remarkable advancements in the last 19 months.
“Our vision is to create a thriving Odisha within the next decade. By 2036, as we celebrate a century of our independent state, Odisha should rank among the top five states in the country. To make this dream a reality, every citizen and every district must thrive; otherwise, our plan cannot succeed,” remarked CM Majhi.
In a critical view of the BJD government’s Smart School initiative, Majhi asserted that his administration is dedicated to establishing educational institutions with a truly world-class foundation, rather than just constructing visually appealing schools.
He reiterated that the state government has prioritized the safety and dignity of women.
“Today, I want to assure the mothers and sisters of our state that our government is unwavering in its commitment to your safety. Anyone who commits a crime against you will face justice,” added CM.
Moreover, he emphasized that the state government has implemented various measures aimed at significantly enhancing farmers’ incomes and promoting industrial growth in Odisha.
