Odisha Government Greenlights 25 Industrial Ventures Valued at Rs 4,222.24 Crore

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2 (NationPress) The Odisha government has recently sanctioned 25 substantial projects totaling Rs 4,222.24 crore. These approvals were granted during the 133rd State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) session, which was led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.

According to a statement from the state industry department released on Wednesday, these initiatives, covering various high-impact sectors, are anticipated to create over 14,497 job opportunities, thereby facilitating the socio-economic advancement of Odisha.

The department emphasized that Odisha stands as the foremost investment hub in Eastern India, a fact reinforced by the recent success of the Utkarsh Odisha roadshows conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, and Singapore.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state has effectively captivated considerable interest from investors.

The approved projects showcase Odisha's dedication to nurturing a diverse industrial ecosystem, with investments spanning 16 sectors such as Green Energy Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, Textiles & Apparel, Plastics, Food Processing, Downstream-Aluminium, Metal (Downstream), Packaging, Rubber, Biofuel/Bio Fertilizer, Chemicals, Minerals and Rare Earth, Steel (Beneficiation), Infrastructure, Agro Processing, and Tourism,

As stated by an official, these projects will be executed across 11 districts including Angul, Ganjam, Khordha, Nabarangpur, Cuttack, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Puri, and Kandhamal, thereby reinforcing Odisha's industrial foundation and fostering sustainable economic development.

The initial SLSWCA meeting of 2025 highlights Odisha's unwavering commitment to luring investments and establishing itself as a frontrunner in sustainable industrial growth. Under the visionary leadership of CM Majhi, the state has granted approval for vital investments that are expected to stimulate economic growth and create significant employment prospects. Odisha's proactive policies and forward-thinking vision continually position it as a preferred destination for both domestic and international investors,” the statement elaborated.

It is noteworthy that the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave-2025 is set to take place in the state capital on January 28 and 29.
