Bhubaneswar, June 13 (NationPress) – The Odisha State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), led by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, granted approval on Friday for 17 industrial initiatives totaling Rs 3,878.86 crore, according to an official announcement from the state government.

These investment initiatives cover a diverse array of sectors, including Plastics, Technical Textiles, Textiles & Apparel, ESDM, Food Processing, Power & Renewable Energy, Tourism, Logistics & Infrastructure, Chemicals, and Steel. They are anticipated to create 10,584 new jobs across 11 districts.

“This substantial progress signifies a pivotal moment in the government’s inaugural year and aligns with its long-term vision of 'Samruddha Odisha by 2036',” the state government remarked.

Among the prominent proposals approved by SLSWCA are six major projects in the plastic sector and two in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.

Greenwave Circularity Private Limited plans to establish a facility for recycled flakes, pellets, and resin in Khordha with a capacity of 4,04,150 MT and an investment of Rs 650.23 crore, expected to generate 600 jobs.

Gurumaharaj Mining & Industries Private Limited aims to invest Rs 239.07 crore to produce underground pipelines (UGPL) with an annual capacity of 2,50,000 meters, creating 860 jobs in Khordha.

Supreme Industries Limited will set up a plastic products unit in Cuttack with an investment of Rs 175 crore, generating 165 jobs.

Lucro Plastecycle Private Limited intends to establish a post-consumer plastic recycled (PCR) granules unit in Jagatsinghpur, investing Rs 100 crore and creating 1,615 jobs.

In the Textiles and Apparel sector, MAS India Clothing Private Limited will develop a textile processing mill (Fabric Mill–1) at Khordha with an investment of Rs 885 crore, resulting in 1,700 new job opportunities. In the Power & Renewable Energy domain, Iron Triangle Limited will invest Rs 310.75 crore to implement a 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System in Balangir, generating 128 jobs.

The Steel sector is set for expansion with Samaleshwari Ferrometals Private Limited planning to convert its sponge iron plant into a 0.5 MTPA integrated steel plant in Sambalpur at an investment of Rs 400 crore, expected to generate 350 jobs.

The Logistics and Infrastructure sector witnessed two significant proposals, with Alpha Coal Beneficiation and Infrastructure LLP establishing a private freight terminal and coal washery under the Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Terminal Scheme in Sundargarh with an investment of Rs 217.40 crore, creating 400 jobs.

A logistics park is also planned for Khurda with an investment of Rs 218.80 crore, expected to generate 2,700 jobs, notably reinforcing the state's logistics framework.
