Bhubaneswar, June 27 (NationPress) The Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, along with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the people on the joyous occasion of Ratha Yatra, which commenced on Friday.
Governor Kambhampati offered his best wishes to all and implored for the divine favor of the Holy Trinity (Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra) to lead everyone towards peace and prosperity.
"I send my good wishes and greetings to my dear brothers and sisters of Odisha on this auspicious occasion of Ratha Yatra. The Ratha Yatra of the holy trinity symbolizes timeless values of devotion, unity, and reverence. Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra emerge from the sanctum, bridging the gap between the divine and the devotees," stated the Governor.
He further added, "This sacred festival attracts millions of devotees nationwide and stands as a symbol of compassion and equality. The Ratha Yatra presents Odisha's rich heritage through its traditional practices and vibrant involvement from people of all backgrounds. On this special occasion, I express my deepest gratitude to the citizens of our nation. I pray that the divine blessings of the Holy Trinity shower upon us, guiding us towards peace and prosperity. May this festival encourage us to foster a community grounded in unity in diversity," he emphasized.
Chief Minister Majhi also conveyed his greetings and expressed wishes for the well-being of the state's residents.
CM Majhi remarked, "I extend heartfelt greetings and wishes on the occasion of the Ratha Yatra of Lord Jagannath, the pride of millions of Odias. I seek blessings at the lotus feet of the Chaturdhamurtty (Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra, and Lord Sudarshan) for the progress and prosperity of Odisha and all its people."
In a video message, the Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Naveen Patnaik, who recently underwent surgery in Mumbai, also extended his greetings.
"Dear brothers and sisters, my Namaskar to all. I wish you all good health and happiness for Ratha Yatra. Jai Jagannath," said Patnaik.
Thousands of devotees from around the world gathered in the sacred city of Puri to partake in the chariot festival on Friday.
Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other dignitaries also wished the devotees on this auspicious occasion.
