Reports indicate that an 11-year-old girl who had disappeared after departing for school on Tuesday morning was later discovered deceased behind the Panchayat Office in Chandbali that evening.
She was reportedly discovered with numerous injury marks on her body, inciting local residents to organize significant protests demanding prompt action against the offenders.
On Wednesday, tensions persisted in the Chandbali area of Bhadrak district until district administration and police intervened, assuring strict measures against the accused and all necessary actions to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
Locals also vandalized the house of the accused individual in the Chandbali area.
Acting promptly, the Bhadrak Police apprehended the suspect from Jagatsinghpur district after filing a case of murder and sexual assault based on a complaint from the victim’s father.
