Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (NationPress) The Odisha Cooperation Department Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta on Monday vehemently condemned Robert Vadra, spouse of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, for his irresponsible and unnecessary comments regarding the results of the recently held Bihar Assembly elections.
He stated that Congress leaders frequently engage in blame games after every loss, yet portray everything as flawless when they emerge victorious.
Significantly, Vadra recently claimed that the Bihar results are “unfair and unacceptable.” He suggested that the outcome was swayed by the Election Commission.
In response to the national conversation following the Bihar Assembly election results, Samanta firmly criticized the statements made by Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, and others.
He further asserted that the populace has consistently rejected negative politics and instability.
“The people are aware of who is dedicated to development and who relies solely on such remarks,” he commented.
He concluded that attempts to sow confusion after the Bihar verdict will not alter the public's mandate for stable and corruption-free governance.
Regarding who will become the Chief Minister of Bihar, Samanta clarified that the decision will be made solely by the NDA, based on competence, integrity, and administrative acumen.
“Previously, the BJP had obtained more MLAs, yet Nitish Kumar served as Chief Minister as per the NDA’s collective decision. This time as well, the alliance will determine the CM based on who can guarantee zero corruption and effective governance,” he remarked.
Samanta also criticized Congress and Trinamool Congress for opposing the implementation of SIR.
The minister stated, “If SIR is enacted, fraudulent voters will be eliminated, and illegal Bangladeshi intruders will be identified and removed from voter lists. Its effects will be evident in Bengal, which is why Congress and Trinamool are concerned.”
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement, he remarked, “This time, the Ganga will flow from Bihar to West Bengal,” suggesting that a political shift is on the horizon in the state and that the NDA government will take shape in Bengal soon.
Meanwhile, Samanta also rebuked former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for her comments on the explosion at the Red Fort, pointing out that during the Congress era, bomb blasts were commonplace across the nation, and she should recall her own abduction by terrorists.
“She should be the last individual to offer lectures. The country has not forgotten those times,” he stated.
