New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar has strongly condemned businessman Robert Vadra for casting doubt on the integrity of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 results. Kumar accused Vadra of nursing political aspirations while disregarding his claims against the Election Commission.
In a pointed critique of Vadra’s statements, Kumar remarked, “Robert Vadra is part of the Gandhi family. Has he also joined the Congress? His reaction to political matters indicates a restless mind, eager to step into politics. The Election Commission is a constitutional entity. Before questioning its credibility, Vadra should delve into the constitutional procedures governing it, rather than just focusing on his property.”
He continued, “This isn’t an isolated incident. The Bihar results demonstrate that those who lament ‘vote theft’ have lost the faith of the populace. It’s essential to respect our constitutional institutions before voicing concerns.”
Kumar's comments followed Vadra's exclusive interview with IANS, where he alleged widespread discrepancies in the Bihar elections, claiming that a reelection utilizing ballot papers would “entirely overturn the results.”
In a contrasting response, BJP leader Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa expressed astonishment at the Congress party's failure to reflect on their electoral loss, stating they should evaluate why voters rejected them and the Grand Alliance. He emphasized that Vadra is not an official party leader and suggested a defamation suit for his remarks.
Meanwhile, the RJD backed Vadra, with spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari asserting, “Protests are warranted. He is speaking the truth. India has a rich history of movements, and such demonstrations should be evident.”
Vadra's comments have ignited significant reactions as he questioned the integrity of the election process, stating voters feel manipulation has occurred, severely damaging public trust in the electoral system.
He criticized the Election Commission, asserting, “Until the Election Commission is properly regulated and operates effectively, we will continue to witness elections that lack public confidence. Voters believe they support one side, yet the outcome favors another. For the sake of the nation’s progress, elections must be entirely transparent, honest, and above board.”
