New Delhi, April 15 (NationPress) The Congress party has unleashed a significant political critique against the BJP following the inauguration of Samrat Choudhary as Bihar’s Chief Minister, accusing the ruling party of betrayal and methodically undermining its coalition partners.

In response to this development, Congress MP Pramod Tiwari remarked, "From what we observe, it appears that Andhra Pradesh is next after Bihar and Maharashtra. Nitish Ji, who secured votes from millions... This same Samrat Choudhary had previously vowed to not rest until he ousted him from power. JD(U) leaders were visibly emotional, shedding tears. This is unjust… Nitish Ji was left with no choice. The slogan ‘aisa koi saga nahi jisse BJP ne thaga nahi’ (there is no relative left whom the BJP hasn’t deceived) is indeed fitting for the BJP… it’s clear.”

Additionally, Congress leader Tariq Anwar also criticized the new Chief Minister, probing into his political journey and ideological origins.

He stated, “The future will reveal how this unfolds… he has traversed many political paths to arrive at this point; his father was a notable Congress figure, and Samrat Choudhary’s lineage is rooted in Congress.”

Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Atul Londhe accused the BJP of intentionally targeting regional parties to strengthen its dominance.

He expressed, "The installation of a BJP Chief Minister in Bihar recalls a previous statement. In 2023, Nadda declared that after 2024, no regional party would endure. This ravenous snake -- the BJP -- closely evaluates regional parties to gauge how long it will take to consume them. Once its hunger reaches a certain point, it engulfs them. The same fate has befallen Nitish Kumar..."

This commentary arises amidst a notable political transition in Bihar, with Samrat Choudhary taking the oath as the 24th Chief Minister, marking a historic moment as a BJP-led government assumes direct control of the state.

This shift follows the resignation of Nitish Kumar, who has moved to the Rajya Sabha, clearing the path for a BJP-led administration.

This event marks the beginning of a new era in Bihar politics, as the BJP now independently leads the government.

Samrat Choudhary embarked on his political journey in 1990 and served as Bihar’s Agriculture Minister in 1999. He won the Parbatta Assembly seat in both 2000 and 2010 and later became the Chief Whip of the opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2010.

Since 2018, he has emerged as a pivotal BJP leader, and in 2019, under the guidance of Nityanand Rai, he was appointed BJP State Vice President, progressively rising to be one of the party’s most influential leaders in the state.
