Notable figures from the civil society, including religious leaders, social activists, and business representatives, attended the Chief Minister’s meeting.
CM Omar Abdullah has previously condemned the military actions against Iran, asserting that the authority to instigate regime change belongs exclusively to the Iranian populace, not external powers.
He has maintained regular communication with the Ministry of External Affairs concerning the safe repatriation of Kashmiri students studying in Iran.
It is important to note that before the conflict escalated, Omar Abdullah had urged parents to heed the advisory from the Ministry of External Affairs and bring their children back home before Iranian airspace was closed.
In the meantime, strict restrictions have been enforced throughout the Valley for the third consecutive day to uphold law and order. All educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, will remain closed until March 7.
Internet speeds have been reduced to prevent the dissemination of provocative content on social media by miscreants.
The police have also lodged FIRs against several individuals, including MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and former Srinagar Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu, for allegedly sharing objectionable content.
