Bhopal, Sep 8 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel asserted on Monday that the National Education Policy (NEP) presents numerous opportunities for youth at every level of education, specifically customized to their skills, interests, and capabilities.
The Governor emphasized the significant role universities play in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a new, digital, and developed India by introducing job-oriented courses and providing skillful training to the younger generation.
“Today, career opportunities are rapidly growing in sectors such as agriculture, food technology, physical education, cyber-security, forensic science, drone technology, and law,” the Governor stated while addressing the convocation ceremony at Barkatullah University in Bhopal.
During his speech, Chancellor Patel encouraged students to remain grateful to their parents and teachers.
He urged them to uphold the convocation oath throughout their lives. Patel acknowledged the hard work of students by awarding degrees and gold medals.
“This is not just a celebration of receiving degrees, but rather the culmination of years of hard work, discipline, and the invaluable guidance of teachers,” Patel remarked.
He also congratulated an ‘A’ grade from NAAC for its dedication to education, research, and innovation, making it the only university in the state to be ranked globally.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who attended the convocation, stated that all Indian languages are being promoted through education in Madhya Pradesh.
“In our state, the Vice-Chancellor has been granted the new title of ‘Kulguru’, a title also adopted by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Universities in Madhya Pradesh are now offering courses driven by innovation and focused on employment,” Yadav noted.
He added that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Indians are making their mark on the global platform through their own skills.
“By correcting past mistakes, convocations are now being held in accordance with Indian traditions. Madhya Pradesh was the first state to implement the National Education Policy in 2020,” Yadav concluded.
