Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people of Bihar on Thursday, extending his congratulations for the successful completion of Chhath Puja. He announced that his administration is actively seeking international backing to have the 'Maha Parv', one of the most revered festivals, included in the UNESCO world heritage list. In his speech, he criticized the Congress and RJD for their disrespect towards Chhathi Maiya.
During his first rally in Muzaffarpur after the festival, PM Modi emphasized that the 'Maha Parv' is a reflection of India's rich cultural legacy. He highlighted that as the festival gains popularity around the globe, it provides a chance for people worldwide to learn from its profound spiritual essence.
"Our government is rallying global support to recognize Chhath Maha Parv on UNESCO's prestigious list," PM Modi stated, asking the audience, "Wouldn't this fill our hearts with pride?" The Prime Minister expressed that the heartwarming performances during Chhath Parv bring joy to everyone, announcing that next year, a nationwide competition will be held to identify and reward young talents performing devotional songs associated with Chhath Puja.
PM Modi vehemently criticized the Congress and RJD alliance for their derogatory remarks about Chhathi Maiya, asserting that the people of Bihar would not tolerate such actions.
He pointed out that the leaders of RJD and Congress had the audacity to compare Chhath Puja to mere "drama," branding it as a despicable tactic aimed at manipulating voters as elections approach.
"Can anyone tolerate an insult to Chhathi Maiya? Can anyone accept disparagement aimed at Chhath Vratis?" he inquired, prompting enthusiastic responses from the crowd.
Further condemning the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, PM Modi articulated that five words encapsulate this dubious alliance: Katta (weapon), krurta (cruelty), katuta (bitterness), kushashan (misgovernance), and corruption.
