Hyderabad, March 28 (NationPress) AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi declared on Friday that Muslims will not forgive Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan, and Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Jayant Chaudhary for permitting the BJP to assault Shariat through the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Owaisi emphasized that Muslims will never absolve these leaders for facilitating the BJP's attack on Shariat. He stated, “If these four leaders wish to, they can halt the Bill, yet they are allowing the BJP to dismantle our mosques and Waqf.”

The AIMIM chief spoke during the ‘Jalasa Youmul Quran’ event at Hakeem Mir Vazeer Ali Masjid on the final Friday of Ramzan.

According to Owaisi, the Bill is designed to seize Waqf properties in line with a Hindutva agenda, preventing Muslims from practicing their Shariat.

Describing the Bill as a black mark, he noted that it threatens the existence of Waqf properties. He asserted that Muslims will not remain silent, as these properties belong to their ancestors and are not the government's.

On the last Friday of Ramzan, Muslims donned black armbands in protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, following a call from the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.

During Friday prayers in mosques across Hyderabad and other regions in Telangana, attendees wore black bands as a form of silent protest.

At the historic Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad, thousands of worshippers were seen wearing black armbands to express their dissent.

Owaisi, who was also seen wearing a black armband, criticized the Narendra Modi government regarding the Waqf Bill. He stated, “Through this Waqf Bill, Narendra Modi is wounding our faith, our mosques, our dargahs, and khankhas.”

The MP questioned the fairness of allowing only Hindus to be members of committees managing their temples and religious institutions while permitting non-Muslims to join the Waqf Board.

“If someone occupies a temple, gurdwara, or church property for 12 years, they do not become the owner, yet if someone occupies a property designated in the name of Allah, the encroacher becomes the owner. This is what Modi is implying,” he remarked, questioning why Muslims face such discrimination.

Owaisi highlighted that collectors are granted powers under the Waqf Amendment Bill to confiscate Waqf properties.

He criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that if there are 100 Muslims and 50 Hindus in an area, Hindus do not feel secure.

The MP affirmed that in India, Hindus do not face threats from Muslims, and Muslims do not face threats from Hindus. “The actual threat to Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and the Constitution is from the RSS, its ideology, Modi, and Yogi,” he stated.

He reminded Yogi that the right to life is a fundamental right enshrined in the Constitution of India.
