Hyderabad, April 24 (NationPress) AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend invitations to all political parties, even those with a single MP, for the upcoming all-party meeting concerning the Pahalgam terror attack.

Owaisi emphasized that this is a national matter, and it is crucial for every voice to be heard.

In a post on X on Thursday, he revealed that he had a conversation with Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju the previous night regarding the all-party meeting in Pahalgam.

“He mentioned they are considering inviting only those parties with '5 or 10 MPs.' When I questioned why smaller parties were excluded, he remarked that it would make the meeting 'too long.' When I asked, 'What about parties like ours?' he joked that my voice is naturally loud,” Owaisi shared.

The president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) insisted that this is not merely an internal meeting for the BJP or any other party, but rather an all-party meeting aimed at delivering a strong and unified message against terrorism and the nations that harbor such threats.

He urged Prime Minister Modi to allocate even an additional hour to listen to the concerns of all political factions. “Your own party does not hold a majority. Whether represented by 1 MP or 100, each was elected by the people of India and deserves consideration on such a significant issue. This transcends politics; it is a matter of national importance that requires everyone’s input,” Owaisi urged the Prime Minister to ensure this meeting is genuinely inclusive.

Owaisi, the sole MP representing AIMIM, reiterated that every party with representation in Parliament should be invited.

On Wednesday, he vehemently condemned the Pahalgam terror attack, noting that terrorists targeted innocent individuals based on their religion and expressed hope that the government would take decisive action against them.

“This is a tragic massacre. We stand in solidarity with the families affected and pray for a swift recovery for the injured,” he stated.

Owaisi attributed the terror attack to a failure of intelligence and called for the Narendra Modi government to reassess its deterrent strategies.

He asserted that this incident is more reprehensible than the Uri and Pulwama attacks, as the perpetrators, having crossed from the neighboring country, specifically targeted civilians.

The AIMIM chief remarked that the attack was aimed at undermining the tourism sector, highlighting that the terrorists, having infiltrated from Pakistan, chose a location that is not even accessible by road.
