Patna District Administration Enhances Security for New Year Festivities

Patna, Dec 31 (NationPress) The Patna district administration has enacted extensive security protocols in preparation for New Year’s Eve festivities to safeguard public well-being.
District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has instructed officials to maintain increased vigilance throughout the celebrations.
A sufficient number of magistrates and police personnel have been assigned across the district.
Quick Response Teams (QRT) and Special Mobile Teams will remain on high alert.
Particular emphasis is being placed on Patna Marine Drive, with severe penalties planned for reckless driving, especially by motorcyclists.
In addition to Marine Drive, Patna Police has mandated that all police stations ensure comprehensive security in parks, dining establishments, and areas near water bodies.
The operation of motorboats and other vessels on the Ganga and rivers like Punpun will be entirely prohibited from the evening of December 31 until 6 P.M. on January 1.
Those who violate this ban will face strict consequences.
“River patrol teams have been deployed along the banks of the Ganga to enforce boating restrictions and ensure safety. The administration has taken proactive steps to foster a secure environment for the public to celebrate the New Year responsibly,” Singh stated.
All CCTV feeds will be actively monitored by police officers in the control room.
Temporary police barricades will also be established at various points to enhance safety and security.
“During this period, traffic rule violators, particularly motorcyclists, will receive immediate fines based on CCTV footage,” he added.
The Patna traffic police will focus on motorcyclists, ensuring adherence to safety and traffic regulations.
“We have encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly, maintaining peace and order in the city,” Singh remarked.
These initiatives are part of a broader effort to promote safety and discipline during the celebrations and prevent any unforeseen incidents.
