Was Pawan Kalyan's Movie Ticket Really Sold for Rs 10?

Hyderabad, July 22 (NationPress) Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan criticized the former YSRCP administration, noting that the price of his movie ticket was reduced to Rs 10, while tickets for films featuring other actors were priced at Rs 100.

He emphasized that his struggle was not motivated by financial gain or records, but rather a pursuit of justice.

The actor-politician made these remarks at the pre-release event of his upcoming film ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ on Monday night.

Pawan Kalyan admitted that his only error was delivering a flop, which caused him to lose his footing in the film industry.

He acknowledged that he lacked collaborations with major directors, but praised Trivikram for his support and for helping him achieve success with ‘Jalsa’.

Recalling the release of his film ‘Bheemla Nayak’, he pointed out that while other films had tickets at Rs 100, his were priced at only Rs 10-15.

“On that day, I declared, 'Who can stop us?'. It was never about money or records; it was about bravery. I stood for justice,” he proclaimed to enthusiastic cheers from his supporters.

Pawan Kalyan asserted that he has never aimed to break records, stating his desire to live a life as an ordinary individual.

He expressed gratitude to his fans, proclaiming, “If I have achieved this position today, navigating the ups and downs of politics, it’s all thanks to you. I rely on no weapons or goondas, only my fans.”

The actor mentioned that it has been 30 years since he entered the film industry. Despite aging, he affirmed that his spirit remains unbroken.

He reflected on a moment during the filming of ‘Gabbar Singh’, when a fan requested him to deliver a hit, which materialized with Harish Shankar’s direction. He noted that he made this film during a challenging phase.

“Although ‘Johnny’ didn’t succeed, my fans remained loyal. Given that all relationships often involve money, I returned my remuneration because I value relationships,” he emphasized.

Pawan Kalyan stated that ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ holds special significance for him. Scheduled for release on July 24, this marks his first film to debut after assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister last year.

He disclosed that the film faced numerous challenges over its five years of production, but he stood firm alongside producer A.M. Rathnam.

Although he had previously learned martial arts, he had to practice again for this film. He remarked on the challenges he faced from real-life goondas and rowdies in politics, finding it difficult to perform these actions on camera.
